“You have a YouTube channel?!”
This is one of the most popular questons/statements I get. If you’ve been around me enough, you know that I am always pulling out my camera to record the moment, and oftentimes without warning. I make vlog, which are basically blogs in video form, about my day to day life. Think about home-videos, but the modern version. I will post the occasional makeup tutorial or clothing haul, but I mostly just record what I do in my day to day life, and to my surprise, a fair number of people seem to be pretty interested.
I have always loved to watch YouTube videos. I never watch T.V. or even Netflix because I spend my time on YouTube instead. My greatest push to start my own channel was my older sister, Natalie, who also has a [much more serious/larger] channel of her own. Her advice, along with the support of my family, encouraged me to put aside the fear of what people may think and go for it.
I am so thankful that I started when I did, and only wish I would have documented more of my life. Sometimes I find myself watching old videos and re-living those memories all over again. I think the craziest part of it all is that one day my kids will be able to look back, watch the videos, and see their mother at 18/19/20 years old! Weird, right?
