The Benefits of Drinking Coffee

Coffee is one of my favorite beverages. Besides the energy boost it gives me, I genuinely enjoy the drink itself, and it has become something that I look forward to every morning [and usually afternoon].


I am writing this while enjoying my fourth cup of coffee for the day. That being said, I am fully aware that the third and fourth (maybe even second) cups are not the best thing I could do for myself, but I am not writing this to tell you to do as I do. Rather, I am just here to let you know that the habit that you may feel you may be stuck on may have some health benefits! Besides the delicious taste, here is an interesting list I found of the health benefits of coffee:

  8. May protect your liver

  9. Can fight depression and make you happier

  10. May lower risk of certain types of cancer

  11. Doesn’t cause heart disease and may lower stroke risk

  12. May help you live longer

  13. The biggest source of antioxidants in the Western diet
